WELCOME MESSAGE

On behalf of the Scientific Program Committee and the Organizing Committee of the 13th
Training and Practice International Conference on Educational Science, I am honored to
welcome all the participants of the conference as well as the readers of the this bookof
Program and Abstracts. It is a great pleasure to be able to carry on the tradition of organizing
this event, albeit in unusual circumstances.
The first conference was organized by the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Kaposvár
in 2007. Since 2010, the annual event is organized together with the Benedek Elek
Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Sopron. However, due to the COVID-19 situation
in Hungary, the spring event of 2020 had to be postponed, although more than three hundred
participants had registered with more than two hundred presentations. That is why
we were dedicated to still make this conference happen this year. Unfortunately, the pandemic
is far from over, therefore, the conference is run as a virtual event.
Effective from 1 August, 2020, the University of Kaposvár is merged with Szent István University.
As a result, from now on, we are organizing the Training and Practice Conference
as the Faculty of Education of the Kaposvár Campus of Szent István University. Significant
reforms have been implemented in the organizational processes of the conference. The
event is now headed by a Scientific Program Committee. In terms of organization and review
process, the conference meets the standards of international scientific conferences.
We are delighted to see a significant number of English language presentations at this
year’s bilingual event. The English language sections and the Hungarian sections will run
simultaneously during the three-day conference.
The program includes keynote presentations. The opening keynote speaker will be
Gyöngyvér Molnár, Professor of Education and Head of the Institute of Education at the
University of Szeged. She will give a presentation on the digital revolution in education and
research. On the second day, Andrea Kárpáti, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest,
will give a keynote presentation on the most relevant issues in art education. Gabriella
Papp, the Dean of Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education at Eötvös Loránd
University will open the last day of the conference. In her keynote presentation, she will
analyze the role and evolution of special needs education in Hungary.
On behalf of the Scientific Program Committee, I would like to thank the reviewers, section
chairs and IT technicians for their hard work. We are grateful for the efforts of the Organizing
Committee who made this event possible.
Although this year we have to do without the engaging professional discussions during the
coffee break, I hope this virtual event will also provide us with a rich exchange of experience
and information.

Krisztián Józsa
Chair of the Conference
